Your best foot forward for a job interview.
This may come to you as a surprise but a lot of people don't know how to dress for an interview. When I used to work as a store manager, I used to come across to lots of people that were not dressed appropriately for the interview. What was interesting is that when I spoke with them over the phone to schedule our meeting, they would ask me what they should wear. When you meet someone for the first time, whether it is for interview or not, the first impression counts! If you want to make a great impression on your future boss it is very important that you dress to impress. The effort that you put in to your outfit says a lot about you and how much you care about the job that you are applying for.
If the job that you are applying for is a corporate job, you want to be very professional and conservative. Which means, you wearing a suit is strongly suggested (for a man suit and a tie is a must). Ladies, keep in mind that you want your skirt length to be close to your knee or bellow.
For any other job, such as: Entertainment, Fashion, Retail and etc… you can tone it down a bit, if you like. Men can wear nice dress pants with a shirt (tie is optional). The same with women, dressy pants or skirt can be worn with a nice blouse or a sweater. Just make be sure to keep it professional. Ladies, if you are fashion forward, do show your good sense of style, as long as your appearance is not too busy and does not become a distraction for the interviewers.

*It is very important to keep in mind that you must be prepared for the interview. Have your outfit ready the day before, and make sure you have the address ready and mapped out. Also, give yourself extra half an hour to get there; the last thing you want to do is to be late after putting all that time to get ready.
